“I write on my skin, to make us both in tune. To make revolution my way. It’s my own rebellion, my armor to protect me from the too harsh outside world. I write on my body and those of my peers. To heal and be healed. It is our secret little link. Behind our shells in perpetual transformation, we create small self-sufficient shelters. They are shared cocoon spaces of care where love is to be found.”

Frisson is a non-binary tattoo artist, known as Florex Forever. Not only do they create unique designs and pieces for their own body, but aspires to give strength to their community through the art of tattoos. The practice of tattooing is a form of self-directed reclamation of the human body, in a world that is not always welcoming to LGBTQIA+ communities.

J’écris sur mon corps, pour que lui et moi on soit d’accord. Pour faire la révolution à ma façon.
C’est ma protection rébellion, mon armure pour me protéger contre ce monde trop dur.
J’écris sur mon corps et celui des autres.
Pour soigner et me soigner.
C’est notre petit lien secret.
Derrière nos carapaces en perpétuelle transformation, on se créé des petits refuges de soins autogérés, des cocons d’amour partagés, des abri anti -famille- nucléaire.
Le soir, aiguilles à la main, on se raconte des histoires sur nos peaux, souvenirs sensibles.
Baguettes magiques contre la panique, pour fictionner des lendemains sans fin. J’écris sur mon corps pour ne pas oublier, pour ne pas m’abandonner et me rappeler d’exister.
